Seeing as that other thread is politics gone mad, thought we could have a place to discuss actual pies.

No poll, just discuss your favourite pies. I'll start with my top four;

1/ meat and potato

2/ lamb and leek hot water crust (@Morag lol)

3/ scouse pie (proper homemade)

4/ apple pie

It's not very nice, I couldn't eat a pie with that in, ruins the taste for me.

Pie's are the way of life over here in NZ.

There is a bakery near me that does a mean 'Mexi-Pie' which is basically a steak pie with spicy kidney beans thrown in.

I quite like a chicken and veg pie as well.

For the sweet type, cherry pie is tops, closely followed by apple.....

Don't think so mate, although I'm in Reading next week so could be on the cards, where in Reading?
