Moyes problem is his tactics never evolved. Even now with West Ham he's trying to play like it is 2009 and the way teams press has changed the game completely since then. Mourinho is having the same problem.Video destroys the myth that Moyes teams never played nice football
Certain posters on this forum claim Moyes played hoofball 100% of the time and we were a backs to the wall, route one team. Pienaar, Osman, Arteta and even Cahill and Fellaini moved the ball about nicely at times.Moyes problem is his tactics never evolved. Anyway missed most of Pienaar's career before he returned from Spurs so great to see some of the things he could do in his first spell.
As I said I only had real access to Everton matches from about 2011-2012 on and those teams, especially once Mirallas signed, played some really good football at times. I'd never in a million years want Moyes back, but I also think his spell should be remembered at least a bit positively.Certain posters on this forum claim Moyes played hoofball 100% of the time and we were a backs to the wall, route one team. Really like these videos that the club put out. No fancy angles, just lets you watch and appreciate the goals. Fantastic player for us.
