I think Pienaar is contradicting himself..Surely if he signs a new contract then he is adding to the squad and if this is the most he has enjoyed his football , then why does he want to leave..Is it really Money? if so then I give up..
What do you think Bill is going to say / do this Christmas DaveK?
Have a look what he says every Christmas: 'Moyes is the best manager in the world...special relationship...we endeavour to give the manager every penny we can raise...best squad since the 1980s...Dave Hickson the Cannonball Kid...anecdote about how a fan shook his hand and thanked him for employing David Moyes.'
Maybe that's the only thing we should expect from someone like Kenwright, who's basically a soundbite showman with no substance. Where's the plan from the CEO though? The man who thinks the market economy in football is a good thing and who's tasked with bringing the money in? What does he have to say? His blogs have dried up since the Kirkby decision left him floored (when anyone with half a brain could have told him 18 months in advance it was fcuked anyway). If he cant generate any new ideas then maybe he should stand aside? My point is simple: we need a plan to get us off the floor. Let's see what Santa brings.
Have a wonder down Stanley Park Christmas morning mate....There might.....just might.....no promises......be a brand spanking new blue stadium for ya....underneath a big tree.
On a serious note though. When does his Christmas message come out??? you got me excited now.
Usually on Christmas Eve. But I'm betting Thursday. The Echo's cub reporter will be conducting an interview now as we speak...being briefed beforehand by Ian Ross about exactly how it has to be written, no doubt.
