“I loved my time there and would welcome the opportunity to go back some day. I’m going to take the next few weeks to relax and rest my body, then decided what my future holds.”

Whats the latest with Donavon?

There was something in The S** today apparently about how he's turned us down.

Anyone know?

Re-read that article. It says absolutely nothing. And it caused a flurry of other articles that also say nothing. And a flurry of articles on top of that that say Moyes is still working on him, but still say nothing.

It concludes that he isn't coming based on the fact that he's said nothing. While on tour in Asia. With his current team. In actuality, he was asked about Everton while in the Phillippines and he said he didn't know and he hasn't made a decision.

In other words, no update.

One note: the US national camp is in January. Usually has ~25 players from MLS and Scandinavia. Usually Landon would not attend, but since he will have missed 6 months (!) with the national team, the thought is that he may go. And Jurgen may want him to go. He himself said he wouldn't participate in the whole program (it's usually full of young fringe guys, not the established players), but could go for pieces to meet with the coaching staff and Jurgen.

Roster is due early next week for the camp that runs Jan 3 - Jan 25ish, culminating in games against Panama and Venezuela on the 21st and 25th.

If his name is on that roster, don't know what that means for us.

Could also mean that his name will be on it until a deal with us is done. But with him pulling out of the November friendlies, could be tacky to pull out of the camp.

Hope a deal is done by then.

I don't even know why the Daily Fail even bothered running that story. It's lazy journalism, with no merit or substance. It runs along side such ridiculous articles as asking England players what they think of Cappello's team selection. None of them are going to give a negative response in fear of their own position. But, it makes 'story'. Ask Landon about joining another club whilst on a promotional tour of a foreign land with the team who puts food on his table, is not going to warrant a salivating response of Mutley like proportions.."yeah yeah yeah yeah..". He's bound to be coy and reserved and use a well thought out democratic answer that doesn't make any ripples. The man is after all, the complete professional. he's not Paul Ince for FFS !!

Will he come..who knows, he's not committing himself either way 'til he's had a break and stood back and assessed his fitness. He's just taking the sensible approach, which sadly sometimes isn't good enough for most tabloid journos, these days.

The Daily Mail who released a Kercher is still jailed article including made up quotes for about 20 minutes until they realised that she was actually released. It's so laughably bad and bigoted that it's boss for entertainment. Full of angry middle aged people posting as their wives have got fat and their life has turned to sh*t. So it's the foreigners fault.

After receiving a very generous Christmas present from Mr. Redknapp, this when Jurgen will say "I think it best for your international career if you was to go to Tottenham.
