It’s industrial waste, mixed with flavouring and sold as curry powder.

Rewatch Chernobyl and if you look very closely in the background, you’ll see barrels of the stuff piled up next to the reactor !

Yes, although the texture is bit thicker. They have a thin layer of mayonnaise and with the letters, onion and tomato it all combines rather nicely.
