Do you approve of luminous foods?

I love it. My brother in law hates it, saying nothing luminous should be eaten.

What say you?

Please comment.

Fooking grim mate sorry.

My old man loved it though.
No that's fair play mate.

I appreciate it's even better than marmite (which I weirdly can take or leave) for splitting opinion.

I love it more than most, but some people like it about as much as haemorrhoids.

Groucho - you and I have frighteningly similar tastes - I love the stuff, home made is great too.

Only pickled things I will not consider is pickled eggs, but everything else yes!

One of the great secrets of cooking stews, curries and any form of slow cooking is the addition of a small amount of vinegar to the cooking liquid at the beginning of the cooking process - always enhances the flavour!

Used to sell them in Wigan Pier Nightclub.

Possibly the only nightclub in the world to do that I reckon, many a night when full of Grolsch or Red Stripe & all avenues exhausted you'd turn to the pickled eggs, many a morning I had my mar shouting "Jesus Christ it's seeping under the door onto the landing."

The stuff reminds me of nan, God bless her, everytime we went there as kids she would bring out a bit tray of corned beef and picalilly butties, the only two people who ate them was my dad and granddad.
