Hi.

Just bought this lens, ummed and arred about it for a while and went for it. I'm not good enough to justify the price of an L lens for my Canon but wanted to upgrade from the kit lens as I think I'm good for it now.

Decent upgrade that. lots of positive user feedback out there for those who made this step. Personally, I'd recommend prime lenses for those past the initial learning phase and heading into the enthusiast stage.
