**RANT TIME**

Just who is Phil Neville? A player who got into United on the back of his older, much more talented brother. You can almost picture the conversation, Gary N (In burry accent) "Eh boss you couldnt find a space for our kid brother can you, he isnt that talented but he works hard and will come cheap.
FF a few yrs and AF is bored of him being useless and has persuaded his Scottish compatriot Davey Moyes over a bottle of Bells that he has this player who is really hard working and can play in a few a positions that he will be great for Everton. So he offers Burrys 2nd best/fav footballer an ultimatum sign for Everton or spend the rest of your contract in the reserves/sitting on the bench, he agrees.
Then for some reason Moyes appoints him capt, this despite the fact that AF failed to point that out that Yes he can play in a few positions but failed to point out he is utter rubbish in every one of them.
Now in the space of only 60 days since the end of the season, Capt Fantastic has amassed some 8 (Yes 8 in the close season) seperate interviews in this time to the local press and others in the national press ranging from We can break the top 4, Jag is great, Vaughan is fantastic to Not the same without England in the euros.
His is uncle Rupert Maxwell or does he own Mgm media as this can be the only reason why such a talentless player can attract so much attention in the media. Gary Neville/Rio, Gerrard, Terry and Gallas between them who are all much more talented players and better captains have not amassed even half this amount between them.
Has there ever been a more talentless player who has got this far in the game and hawks himself so much to the media?

**Rant Over**

He's a player who is proud to be captain of this club, and would sweat blood for the cause. He may not be the most gifted player, but you don't earn 59 caps by being [Poor language removed].

Rant Over!

is something really getting to you in your personal life hb, or maybe your just bunged up and cant go, milk of magnesia would do the jobbie, i'll send you a bottle if you like, once youve been you'll feel much calmer.

William Gallas? [Poor language removed] captain for his club.

I had a disscussion about being "captain" of a team with a mate and he said some interesting things - What does a captain actually do?

They dont dictate the play in a match. They dont give out tactics or orders, that's the managers job. They're not the person who calls the shots on the field. "But what about keeping what the manager said in check?" They're trained professional footballers, they shouldnt need that telling, they know they're job. Captains cant even stops players running up to reff, fighting. All the do, really, is lead a team out on match days and keep a player in check if they're getting pissed off about something (even then other players could do that).

Being a captain is more about personality and respect the other players have for him than anything meaningful in the course of the game, that dictate a game.

Neville is the most experienced, played in European finals, internationals, and commands respect from his players because of that. Its has nothing to do with he "talant". Other wise, why wasnt Ronaldo captain of Man Utd last season?

You better tell Dave Watson, Kevin Ratcliffe and other great capts of the past mate, they seem to disagree with you
