Everton have played two league games so far,some players start slower than others.Judge Jagielka after a dozen games rather than two.
Jagielka is a leader and an aggressive defender,we would miss his influence far more than we would miss Arteta.
Don't forget that we could easily have sold Jagielka to Arsenal for more than they paid for Arteta,but David Moyes didn't want to lose the player.
David Moyes could also have refused to sell Arteta to Arsenal or at least made the sale more difficult,but Arteta asked to leave and was then allowed.
I wonder if Jagielka wold have been allowed away so easily and his sale earlier in the window would have given the manager a little more wriggle room as regards transfers.
