PFA to consider protective netting

Nets, ffs

I'm sure Rio is fine now counting all his money, coins been thrown for years now, just that whoever threw the coin hit him right above the eye. Punish us all cos of one tit.

A big crocodile filled moat?

Nets would look gash and the holes would have to be so small to make sure small objects couldn't get through that it would impact on your view.

You just can't compensate for [Poor language removed] - has a player or manager been seriously injured? Not to my knowledge.

tad lower and it would have caught his eye. never know could have blinded him and be an end to his career.

This sort of stuff and racist remarks/actions seem to be happening a lot lately. Has it increased or are the press just paying more attention to it?

Perhaps the FA need to make an example of a club and make them play behind closed doors so that all fans realise they can't get away with it.

think awareness has just grown which is good to see, especially with regards to racism. The FA do lack balls to make a real harsh decision though. I mean with terry and suarez the punishment was pretty small, a poxy little fine and a couple of months for them to put their feet up on the couch whilst still getting paid their astronomical wages is not good enough. Same goes to mikel - 3 games for "falsely" accuse someone of racism. It was probably just a misinterpretation but if he was so insistent that it did happen then why was he not banned for much longer?

anyway, they will always be cowards, something which doesn't surprise me of an organisation which allows for appeals to be made for a two footed leg breaker and not for someone who gets twice for two dives by the opposition to con the ref.

True but they must feel very passionate about their team if they get that angry when the opposition scores or wins the match.

Lifetime ban would absolutely kill them and stop others following suit.

It would stop you or I because we think rationally. These people are not rational.

I'm not saying nets are the way to go mind you. Just that there probably isn't a good solution to this issue.

Just employ Cantona to turn up at random matches to kick the sh*t out of anyone stepping out of line. That was the best thing I've ever seen a footballer do.
