If you have a twin turbo petrol engine and a twin turbo diesel both 3.0 which would you say would be faster and smother to drive in general
Would say the diesel, ive had two beamers in the past with there 3 litre twin turbo engine and its an awsome engine, very responsive and once you get up the rev range it doesnt sound a thing like a diesel..

If i was going out to buy myself a car as a play thing id choose a petrol all day long, but for the real world day to day diesels make most sense to me

What 3.0 twin turbo petrol cars have you owned

I'm getting over 600 miles out of a tank of fuel in my turbo diesel so NEA if it sounds like a Transit, that's what the stereo is for.

It's a bit sluggish at low revs but sound on the motorway/A roads, which is where I drive it most. It shifts when I put my foot down at anything over about 1200rpm. Will do for me.

Not owned but have driven the 3.o jag xf and the bmw 535i not a patch on the diesel powered one

Is the XF a twin turbo? Thought it was supercharged

Don't doubt the BMW as there diesel engines are considered some of the best

Personally I hate diesels and I own one
