Peter Reid admits he fears for Everton's future, telling talkSPORT David Moyes cannot keep working miracles at the club.

The Scot has been at Goodison Park for the last nine years and has turned the club from relegation candidates to a solid mid-table side.

Now former Toffees star Reid believes, like most Evertonians, that there must be new money injected into the club soon for Moyes to continue his good work.

“David Moyes has done nine years at Everton without a financial impact,” the former England midfielder said.

“I certainly think David needs help in the transfer market in January. He can only do so much and he’s been pulling rabbits out of hats for so long.

“Like many Evertonians I fear for the football club. Not in terms of relegation but more where are we going? Where’s the investment?

“I know Bill Kenwright very well and I know what a good job he does but maybe they need someone who’s going to buy the club and take it forward.”

I must've missed that

He's an honest feller, says what he sees - and he sees us sinking. Time for fathead to do one.

This 'mid table side' bull**** does my head in. Since when does 4th, 11th, 6th, 5th, 5th, 8th, 7th represent mid table? Aside from the last 2 years it represents a side either in or pushing for a Champion's League place. Stoke and Bolton are the mid table type of teams.
