Miles behind Stewart Lee, Chris Morris, Bob Mortimer, Harry Thompson in terms of comparing him with creative comedians of recent times, along with a whole host of comedians from further back in time, and though I dont particularly enjoy his stand up all that much, I did love car share.

As expected quite a lot of support for him.

He’s inoffensive and that’s the best I can give him.

I just don’t find him funny. So basic.

Phoenix Nights is up there with the best of British comedy series for me.

His stand up and all the other stuff is tolerable enough I guess....seems very bland and unoriginal.

Phoenix Nights though. Brilliant.

Car Share grew on me.

It was the subtly of things that were on the radio, road signs that they passed and some little throw away stuff that made it very good.

Plus there was real chemistry between him and girl who played Kayleigh.

Not in the same league as Phoenix Nights though.

The only downside of Phoenix nights was that it launched the career of Paddy McGuinness, who's on par with John Bishop for being eminently punchable.
