In America pet ins is a scam. You'll never see a dollar reimbursed.

Luckily we don't live in a third world nation just yet and I can definitely say that Petplan paid out over 4 figures in the first year we had our pup.

I bought it after taking kittys to vet. A few months in I just took them in for vaccines (which all are supposedly approved) and my whole $60 claim was denied.

You are best just putting $25/mo into savings here.

We don't claim vaccines on insurance anyway here afaik. Our dog has his first ones and none since.

Squeeky bum time for me.

My dog needs an operation on one of his legs as the knee keeps popping out of its joint.

It became noticeable after an accident playing with a slightly larger dog so the vet thinks it was caused by trauma but is expecting the Insurers to say it's congenital to get out of coughing up.

Vets are going to deal with the insurers direct and give them a call this afternoon.
