Has anyone played the demo yet? It's quite mad. The games gone through some massive changes over the years that makes it really exciting to want to play every year. I think the most important and long overdue addition is the power bar for passing/shooting/everything. The camera angles also a bit weird, but not bad, just taking time to get used to. It seems like it could be a really awesome game, I'm enjoying the demo a lot. PES11 is due for release on 8 October.

I'm a PES fan purely because FIFA's PC version has been a disgrace and EA should be embarrassed to put FIFA10 on the shelves for sale, it plays like an arcade football game from the 90's. But they have finally imported the console version to PC and I'll get a chance to get used to FIFA. I must say though, FIFA11 seems just like FIFA10 to me, which felt the same to FIFA09, whereas the PES games have been revolutionary when compared to each other.

I wasn't meant to start a PES vs FIFA debate, but there I did it. I'm really amped for both games anyway. (y)

Im not jumping into this one again...especially after last year and the rips I took.

But I always hold firm on PES. And this years is no exception....its the best one, and a complete re-vamp.

The passing puts Fifa to shame to be honest. But there's genuinely two football games coming out that is truely down to preference rather than "this ones better" this year...which I've been arguing for 2 years.

But the fact that this years PES has online master league and you can create your own stadium (most reviewers have tried knocking up goodison park for example) means...PES is still king IMO.

As being that the likenesses is still there (Fifa is trying to copy that bad boy) plus the additional Copa Liberiates just means PES 100% for me.

Also aint there gonna be kick off with EA about charging people for additional stuff for Fifa and online play?

Exactly, each to their own really. I'm sure they're both good games its just that PES is well acer.

Thats the point to be honest.

You'll have blerts that bang on about Fifa all day long but wont like the fact when you point out that all the players play the same and you can lob the keeper from any angle etc. And PES has its problems which I always hold my hand up to.

But PES to me has always been personal...the edit mode makes it that little bit more of your own game.

But the new one is seriously something else. A complete re-vamp but surprisingly still PES...and I dont joke when the I mention about the passing. Takes some getting used to...but its total freedom so the days of whinging about your computer player not being there etc is long gone...its your own fault for playing jarg passes.

Nice. Looking forward to it like, and you're spot on, it has had its faults in the last few games. Still, you can't play FIFA after playing it as its dead arcade like, there is no flow to the game or nouse, you just hammer the run button and do a few flicks and score from the same angles every time. And those free kicks? I buzzed off them, score every time like.

But still, someone playing PES as a FIFA lid will find faults, but I wouldn't buy a game on licensing and the correct amount of freckles being on the players face. That's for bedsit living kopites.

PES 4 ever, is the demo available on PSN must download it, always get excited in the weeks leading up to its release, gets on my tits that you have to watch and listen to the girls and children go crazy about FIFA for couple of weeks before the don of footie games PES is released.

Exactly.

Remember playing Fifa World Cup in an ale house bevvied up with me mates (student pub like, so it has an xbox in the corner). Went the Argies v England...bevvied like so I got 2 of me players sent off in the 1st 5minutes but still ended up scoring 2 goals by kick-and-run footy down the wings and tonking it to Messi who did the rest.

PES always has that difference every game. You can smash a side 5-0 one game, then get done 2-0 the next. And its all about the in the box scrambles they never seem to get rid of...always boss with ya mates them.

Its on PSN...so its Fifa 11.

Like I say, the passing has been totally changed. Takes getting used to.

Take it you've played the demo then?

Yeah. To be fair I was really impressed with how it looks. It does look, graphically, better than FIFA. But it just felt unnatural. Players turn weird, and getting a shot off takes an age.
It's defo getting better but not quite for me this time.

Am I the only one who plays these games on PC? lol. You can download almost anything for PES - I had updated stats, 100's of more teams, all original kits etc. I'm loving the new one so far, struggling to get used to the camera angle a bit though! Makes the game much more exciting to play when its been completely redone.
