Player Valuation: £10m
Don't think there's already a thread for this.
But thought it might be nice for people to share experiences and tips etc for the best footy game in christendom.
Yes fifa has the sparkly licences, but those who know, those who are chosen, born not manufactured, know Konami puts the best game of electronic footy, where it counts. On the digital green.
I'll kick things off.
I've played the game since the snes iss days, although I have lapsed to fifa once or twice (for balance I'd admit it's not terrible just always feels a bit on rails to me). I tend to play master league. I'm not really an online gamer In general. I have a young family so have to sneak gaming time where I can, so don't fancy getting pumped and screamed at by spotty teeneagers.
I think this year's version is the best yet. It feels very free and allows massive improvisation, although I do find tricks generally difficult. The player switching on defence is a bit iffy but I think with the correct tactics and approach it can be mitigated.
At the moment I'm halfway through season 1 with Everton. Got through Europa group and am 4th in the league. Approaching Jan transfer window. I'm keeping the transfers relatively realistic.
So I've bought ghoulam at left back to replace Baines, Laporte to partner Keane (left footed) and Bakambu and am training him to play target man, plus adding some much needed pace.
Tactically I'm setting up old school 442 thus:
Pickford
Coleman
Keane
Laporte
Ghoulam
Schneiderlin/gueye
Davies
Klaassen
Sigurdsson/rooney/Bolasie
Bakambu
Sandro
Obviously what works in a game wouldn't necessarily in real life.
Tactics wise I'm getting Good results (beat braga recently 7-2 on superstar) using counter attacking long ball, all out defence and allowing the players to have flexible positioning.
Anyway ramble over.
Please feel free to share, tactics, youth team wonder kid Master league buys or whatever, or just general thoughts on the Game, hint, tips.
Peace.
