I was there in 2007. The city is buzzing with boozers. It’s nothing like Sydney I would say. Get English footie in most places. Some cracking whore houses.

If your sister in law lives here, she will already know the best touristy things to do - Kings Park, Rottnest Island, Penguin Island, Margaret river, Pinnacles etc.
In terms of pubs to watch the games, the casino is pretty central and popular but there lots around the place that show them. if you let me know which suburb she is in, I can give you a good idea of which is best.
Also, if she has her mobile or internet with Optis, you will have access to every game live for free.

Theres a nice restaurant on top of a hill where you can look down on the city.

A couple of decent cafes but i couldnt tell you where they were sadly.

The centre is like walking through an english town centre back in the 90s...

Unless anythings changed theres no promenade to take in views but some parks near the water..

It has a strange transport system which pretty much prevents you from walking on the seafront.

Fremantle is worth a visit and it’s only about ten to fifteen miles from the centre of Perth.
