I challenge you reids to boil up some white cabbage, some mushy peas, a few roasties and some gravy........mash it all up together and add a bit of rock salt...........come back after and tell me it wasn't nice.

Following on from some of the other threads on here. I personally must have mushy peas with my sunday roast, when my mum moved to the midlands the locals there could not believe that she made them mushies with a roast on sunday. My perfect dinner is as follows.

Roast Beef
Yorkies
Mushy Peas
cabbage
Broccoli
Roast spuds
Boiled spuds
Parsnip
Gravy

Sometimes this alters as I also love cauliflower so sometimes have that instead.

Mushy Peas is wrong on a Sunday Roast (they only belong with fish and chips!), garden peas for roast dinner, boiled spuds are minging, mash em up with butter and cream! The best roast beef would need to be rib of beef as well
