what's the verdict on this piece of US Navy Seal "inspired" (had to change the advert pretty quick) product.

No, seems a load of my arse, just do some on normally on your flat hands then do some on your knuckles, you'd still work both sets of muscles & have less chance of losing balance & getting a nose full of floor as I'd imagine using those twisty things would cause to happen

Start pushups on your knees with them extended backwards to keep your back straight untill you build strength up.
Normally takes a week or so to get your upper body muscles working again, and about 6-8 weeks to see a muscle build up in your chest.
Then just do sets of 20 / 30 etc.

As for the item, I don't have a clue, but if you can afford it, why not. (y)

last time i did one....
baby-push-up.jpg

youngest b.o.g. was arsing around dancing the other night and some st. dancers were doing flips etc. i was just about to film him when he went from a position like above, shouting handstand he flicked his legs up and onto his hands, for about 1/2 a second he was there, then his arms either gave way or he moved them out of the way, and he headbutted the laminate, didnt seem to bother him as he was laughing and then tried to do it again.

It's actually quite a good idea, as much as they market it as being an ULTRA STRONG MAN PUSHUP the thinking behind it is simply to reduce the strain on your wrists. I can imagine them being pretty useful for people with weak joints.
