Party Poison

Player Valuation: £225k
Please don't use the word 'mongs'. Thank you.
I watch the away games I can't get to with my ma deep in wool territory (St Helens) because she works there on a Saturday morning, and the mongs in the pub we go INSIST on giving every player a stupid nickname.

Does anyone else want to crawl into a hole and die when they hear them? It's takes no more effort to say Pienarr than 'Peanuts'....

Honestly suprised I get out of the pub without chinning one of them. At least I know they wouldn;t hit me back because even in meff-land, they still have the code of 'Wouldn't hit a girl' (Unless it's their bird).

I think I am going to call you "party pies" :p

Careful, like you might offend the clique :p there isn't one
I'm a nicknames kind of person myself, like I just slip into shortening or changing peoples names. Mostly because I'm awful with remembering them and the nickname acts like a mnemonic reminder.
Haven't done it with our players yet though. *prepares for vaults*.
Of course you can go the other way with it too ffs just look at RAWK and how they use the players full nameslol

Just a term of endearment I suppose. The only two times I use them is when am posting on here and can't be bothered checking the spelling(coz if you make one spelling mistake online it automatically means your post is void no matter how good it was) and if am being ironic and I've just scored with them on fifa or something.

doubt I'd say them in public tho its a bit cringe orthopaedic (not what I wanted to put but it's what spellchecker put and it made me laught).

I use delboy because I cbf spelling Deulofeu, and then when you spell it wrong the spelling police get on you like a flash.

I very rearly comment but I know what your on about. I never usually use a nickname for any of our players, except once and it was on this forum and as I don't usually comment just used it but got a reply peanuts ffs also think that the only time I got a response of a post, but to be fair dont usually post anything, like reading what all you BLUES have to say though

I go with Geri for Deulofeu, cause that's what he tweets himself as.

I don't mind people shortening names, or even using their first names; I've been guilty of shouting 'Get in their Kev' etc a few times.

It's the ridiculous nicknames that do my scone in. When we played West Brom the other week, I heard some divvy in the pub call Anichebe 'Anchovies'. At that point, I considered booking myself a place on that one way trip to Mars.

Agree with this, especially Gaz Baz. That [Poor language removed] just isn't on.

Although I had a look at an Arsenal forum earlier and one of them had used 'Flameta'...much much worse than ours!
