Can you play old games from PC on your Mac.

I've got a real urge to play Champ Man 01/02, but it doesn't say whether you can play it on the Mac. I was gonna get it off ebay for a 5iver but will wait untill i find out.

Any computer whizz's know the answer?

What mac have you got?

Some new mac's you can dual boot windows. Also there's emulation software.

Finally there is a chance that Champ manager came on a disc that was PC/Mac - they used to do this with this game (same as footy manager) so you may be able to play it.

Either way there should be a work around. There's software called Crossover that is a good emulator for windows.

Have you got a windows DVD? You can use bootcamp
To dual boot it and have your mac boot boh osx and windows.

Champ Man 07 and 08 I used on both my Mac and Windows laptop,..if that helps?

Got the latest Macbook Pro last september, will that allow PC games?

you can dual boot if you've a suitable copy of windows or just use crossover software.

Ok mate, youll have to help me with that i don't understand?? Sorry bud, how do i dual boot or get crossover software.

Sorry mate know am a pain

I've never installed windows on a mac (perish the thought). I'm sure if you google it you can find a tutorial.

I have used crossover though and its easy to use. Saves you messing your computer up with two operating systems - although the dual boot maybe a good idea if you want to play PC games provided you know what you are doing with windows vis a vis viruses.

Crossover is available here.

Sorry mate, I've help you more but something has come up. If you are struggling later PM me.

p.s you may be able to get champ manager downloaded from somewhere - save you waiting in the post for it.

not confuse the issue anymore but even a mac version may not be compatible unless you are running classic on your computer as it's pre intel days.

I know a lot :) Might be more of a hassle though for you. Do you have a copy of windows (XP,vista,7) lying around anywhere?

I don't mate, only on mate's laptops am afraid, will that do?? Thanks for your help btw

Eh, unless you can get a disc yourself with a valid license (or get it "different" ways) then you can't install windows via bootcamp (this makes it where when you turn your computer on you get the option of booting into windows or mac) or install windows via virtualbox (which lets you run windows while logged into mac). Your only other option is crossover like leon said above. They're having a sale right now http://www.codeweavers.com/products/birthday/ This should allow you to run the game, but honestly I'm unsure as I've never used it.

Might just have to get a higher version of the game like 07/08 that will run on a mac without any problems.
