In search of a coach, Everton want Paulo Fonseca but...

The English club has made the Portuguese technician, dismissed from his duties as coach of AC Milan on December 30, a priority to replace Sean Dyche. But the former coach of Lille could be tempted to wait until next summer before bouncing back.

Barely sacked from AC Milan, will Paulo Fonseca bounce back in the Premier League? The hypothesis is on the table. After having taken the decision to part ways with Sean Dyche just a few hours before their Cup match against Peterborough (2-0), Everton's leaders have drawn up a short-list, a priori reduced to three names. The priority of the leaders of the English club, currently 16th in the Premier League (17 points), is the former Lille coach (51 years old) with whom discussions have been initiated. A difficult lead to materialize since the Portuguese technician, who already has solid contacts, could be tempted to wait until next summer to bounce back.

Furthermore, according to a BBC source, the English club would have also made contact with its former coach David Moyes, who officiated there from 2002 to 2013 and won the Europa Conference League in 2023 at the head of West Ham.
