A bit random to not be true surely? He's supposedly 24 years of age.

Premier League Everton have expressed an interest in Peterborough United forward Paul Taylor.

National newspapers have confirmed Everton boss Paul Moyes is interested in signing Peterborough Uniteds want away striker Paul Taylor for £2 million.

Reading, West Brom and Ipswich are also rumoured to be interested in the striker.

Taylor joined Posh from Anderlecht during the 2010/11 season after being released from the top flight Beligium outfit. He spent the remainder of that season building up his fitness and made one substitutes appearance.

He has had a checkered past and was pleased that Posh boss Darren Ferguson was prepared to give him what could've been his last chance at professional football.

The 2011/12 season saw him starting out as a substitute but injuries to other players gave him a chance in the starting XI and he grasped his chance with both hands.

Taylor finished top scorer for Posh in the npower Championship last season with 12 goals as he played 38 League games with 8 appearances as a substitute.

In April, Taylor rejected a four year deal at London Road which would've made him the highest paid player at the club. As a result, he was put on the transfer list as part of the club's policy.

Both the Star and the Sun linking us with a move for him. Don't know too much about him, but was apparently both here and the reds as a youth player.

I remember him doing well at Vauxhall Motors, moving to Chester then getting kicked out of their because he was on drugs!

I'm never to sure about strikers - or players in any other position for that matter - who are described as 'want-away'. Just makes them sound like bad shytehouses to me.

Chester fired him because he kept missing the away matches - he was working as a windowcleaner and preferred that to football. Then he failed a drug test.

My guess is that Paul Moyles or whoever will not want another Drenthe just yet.
