His autobiography came out in 2010. He did signings for it at the Royal Oak; I went and got it signed and had my photo taken with him. He was a nice guy.

What's being brought out now is a paperback version of the same book.

It's a good book by the way. Don't know whether much of it is true but there's some crazy tales in there.

Makes Balotelli look like James Milner. One mad fella was Pat.

I was in the Oak that night as well ;)

Short Version.
Great player
Hard as nails wouldn't take any s...

Had still has as you're never cured depression
told the psychologist or what ever to koff when he wanted to ' treat ' him aka drug him up after the first session

Basically your footballing Keith Moon

Long Version; Great player, very complicated and layered guy...aren't we all in some way.

I met him in the Post Office, back of Church Street last year, he was with Graeme Sharp and Ian Snodin, didn't
recognise him at first he looked ten years younger than them, he was over from South Africa, nice fella no side to
him. Wasn't fussy on the other two,Sharp wanted to talk about how good the Everton team, he played in,was. Would
have agreed with him but I wasn't fussy on the way he was almost bragging about it, should have left me to bring it
up. Snodin was getting a bit upset when I wouldn't agree with him how good David Moyes was.

Pat on the other hand wasn't that bothered talking about football or about himself, didn't seem to have an ego, just
down to earth.

My best memories as an Evertonion watching psycho Pat hacking anything down that even attempted to go past him in front of the Paddock. ..happy days also the lid could play too loved him .C.O.Y.B.

He was a rarity as a right-footed left back. That should have meant that the winger would fancy taking him on down the outside. But no one ever did to any good effect.

Only two I remember were the lad Carr at Forest and Nevin for Chelsea in a 4-3 defeat(might be wrong on that!!),he could play too Pat as well as handle himself, also could slot in a centre back to good effect.
