If my girlfriend had a massive argument with me and gave me the ultimatum "it's Everton or me" I know who I would pick without hesitation and my reasons would be because I love Everton more than I love her. They Make me happier and can make me more sad. I've known them longer than I've known her and I know all about their past and I know everything they get up to when I'm not there. They are on my mind more than her so it goes without saying I would choose Everton every time over anyone.
My passion runs deep and each season as I get older I get more passionate.
There are Evertonians and Everton fans, all of us on here are Evertonians and there is Everton fans who support Everton but don't watch or keep in touch with all their games, they pick the games like Liverpool, Man Utd or any game broadcasted on sky or cup game on ITV. They claim they know the club and the players but they don't know half as much. These are the people I try and avoid having a conversation with about football.
I watched the Leeds Utd cup game in my girlfriends house last year and her dads mate came round to watch the game and all he kept saying was "pass it to that fella" "give him the ball" "good shot by that number 11" "who's this coming on?" He claims he is a blue but this type of talk only categorises him as a nothing.
My Dad went to the games in the 60's, 70's and 80's and now he listens to them on the radio, I give him a good analysis on how the game went but he doesn't realise how rubbish Steven Naismith is. He'll watch the 5 minute highlights on match of the day or if I can ill try and get him the 23 minute ones off the official site. He is an Evertonian because he still breathes Everton but I wish he'd use my girlfriends seat once or twice. I suppose the arthiritis wouldn't allow him to sit on the seat and stand up so quick when we attack. He's miss everything.
How do you rate your passion and what do you think of these so called Everton fans who haven't got a clue about the club and the only say "Mirrallas played well against Liverpool didn't he, he should've scored a shot"
Instead someone of more calibre would say "Mirallas tore Andre Wisdom to pieces down that flank didn't he, what a player he have"
We come across these people in every day life and they need educating on football.
