Joint stadium talk will ratchet up again as he was the stumbling block.
Which is good news - on two counts.
First: Rafael's more likely to sign his contract.
Second: We might now get the adult discussion about a shared stadium that is necessary.
And as we are the senior team in the city and the more likely next premiership champions, I think we should try to help our hard up nieghbours to get the stadium they obviously need.

Benitez has just run out of reasons not to sign his contract, that's for sure. The other thing with Benitez is that there is no obvious place for him to go. There's no way Real Madrid would hire someone perpetrating that brand of anti-football at the Bernabau.
Hicks' hand has just been strengthened and he's the one - I believe - who has been looking for outside investment rather than a sale. All bets are off on the stadium front now.
