Parma about to go bust

So let me get this straight, if a team deliberately cheats by paying off officials bringing the integrity of the league into question, then they get sent to serie B and maybe lose a few points. Something which has took about 10 years to solve or maybe longer, only juventus have rebuilt from it and yet they were serial offenders in the first place.

Yet little old Parma who have run debts up due to a failed business and multiple owners, who didnt judge the size of the task of running a football club accordingly, get relegated to serie D ?

So the lesson to be learnt is, if you struggle for money then get someone crooked in or if that fails then pay off people who are crooked.

Only the fans lose out in this scenario. The cheats it seems in Italy will prosper.

Thinking pragmatically, if they were unable to sustain themselves and spiralled into debt in Serie A, might it not be best for the club to rebuild from a more modest financial footing? Much lower salaries but probably still decent gates should mean they can try to rebalance their books better than in Serie B.

My point was meant to relate more to the punishment of Parma going bust compared to the punishment of Juventus for deliberate cheating. I understand why they have put them in Serie D to rebuild, but i cant help thinking that Juventusand others should of suffered the same punishment.

I think the Parma demotion is a case of cruel to be kind. Should be a huge occasion for teams already down in serie C and D.

Demoting Juve et al to Serie D would effectively deny promotion for another team, as Juve would easily win Serie C and D. I agree that demotion to Serie B doesn't seem commensurate, but it's tough to find the right punishment that doesn't impact on other clubs too much.
