Yes mate. I'm taking my 9 year old son to Goodison for the first time so thought it would be a good introduction as it won't be as busy as a normal match.
Sound, I'd normally go for Utting Avenue on match day if I can get there early enough. Its just a short walk along Priory Road. You should be fine today, and you can probably get a lot closer.

Any roads nearer you could recommend? I don't know any roads as usually train then taxi to the ground for me..

Cherry lane, near the taxi club or the opposite end and walk through the cemetary, might be a goer and quiet today - not too bad a walk either.
If I drive, I park opposite Liverpool Car Centre on Brewster Street (L20 9NG) close to the Mons. It’s free, very public and open for safety and great to get to.
I’ve parked there for years without any problems at all and it’s only about a 5/10 minute walk to the ground.
Well that went well.
I reckon you may just have converted your kid into a City fan.

Not odeal though to watch a thrashing on your first visit to Goodison.
I suppose it could just be seen as training for the life time of disapointment that awaits the lad.?
