The whole sorry business about Pardew shows what fawned-over man-children footballers really are, cocooned in a state of insufferable perpetual adolescence.
In this country the age of criminal responsibility is 18. The buck stops there. And sure, whilst a 19 year old lad getting pissed up in a brawl a shade more acceptable than a middle-aged father doing it, they'd still be nicked all the same.
But here we have him being fined £100k and Savage - of all people, the loathsome Savage - amongst others demanding the FA throw the book at him. I see players make those barely-connecting 'headbutts' every week. Where are their 10 game bans and £100k fines? Why is it OK for players to act in this way, but not nanagers - what's the difference?
And worst of all is the pathetic moral indignation from the media as if some henious crime had been committed; it was an act of laughable stupidity, not something I'd ever encourage and as always we must remember Pardew is a prize melt, but why the hell is everyone up in arms when, as I've said, the players are at it every week?
