Papiss Cisse told to train on his own after a dispute over wearing Wonga shirt.

Sure. Doesn't he have a probably taking money from a club that's indirectly funded by Murdoch?

Murdoch probably hasnt put a penny of his own money into the pockets of premier league footballers - lets face it, mugs worldwide (including us) pay for that - but Cisse's stance against these vermin should be applauded, and it says everything about how much of a joke that shower are that they have exiled him because he expressed very well founded religious objections to Wonga.

Though its just as likely this is a mere smokescreen for him running off after Joe Kinnear called him "Piss Easy" in a training session.

Yes certaintly, what is his actual beef. I understand it to be with his religion v the money side of Wonga?

Edit: just read your second paragraph.

Seems to me ( somewhat ) this suits them both to engineer a move away?

Just wear it ffs. You're getting paid about 90k a week. No ones asking you to take a loan out.
This.

If it's that much of a problem join a team (no doubt on massively reduced wages) whose sponsor you have no problem with.

Oh wait, you're not prepared to take a cut in wages?

It's unclear if Cisse is trying to get a move or if he is a strongly devout muslim. The fact that he has apparently offered to wear an unbranded shirt or charity logo suggests the later.

I'm curious....are Newcastle's actions tantamount to religious discrimination? It would be funny if they were sued for that...can you imagine the testimony of Joe Kinnear....

Part of me wants to say he should just get on with it. Most of my says this company is entirely distasteful and usurious.

Im glad he is making this stand. Nothing to do with religion for me, much like the Bolton fans who made the club switch sponsors. These payday loans companies are outrageous and should not be in sport.
