Perhaps you're right, although i do hope that it's a genuine attempt to stop the abuse of vulnerable youngsters.

Are we seriously expected to believe the middle and lower classes contain all or even most of the paedophiles in this country?

Ridiculous.
 

A Newsnight producer, Meirion Jones, on Panorama two years ago talked about how he witnessed a number of minor members of the royal family visiting on numerous occasions a home where abuse took place.

Not a dickie bird said about it later or a follow up inquiry by our 'cherished free press'.

Expect all this political dimension to abuse to die a death and get buried in the next few weeks as they hang out to dry the small fry for the public executions.

Here's what I don't understand - they can arrest small fry like this who, at worst, will opportunistically attack one or two kids before being caught, yet the systemic, sustained abuse by the privileged in society which is clearly happening is still completely under the radar.

That story about the American journo in Jersey was eye opening - portrays exactly what we're dealing with. If one millionaire or anybody with any influence whatsoever is in the 660 that were arrested today I'll buy a hat and eat it.

I think you may be right, it does appear to be a bit of a smoke-screen and isn't attempting to address institutionalised abuse, nor any actual direct abusers, whilst the article tries to give a different impression.
 
i believe this is rife. Not just with politicians but in all walks of life. Obviously there is massive injustice that those with power will be and always have been protected

The rest of the population (serfs as far as they're concerned) are just human material for our rulers to feed off in one way shape or form. I know that sounds like David Icke, but I'd almost be prepared to believe what a fruitcake like him has to say over and above the liars and scumbags in our media who go along with the harvesting and feeding frenzy of the ruling class. The dumbing down of Britons is a shocking fact of life. The hounding of people like Snowden and Assange tells you all you need to know about how it all works and the value placed upon truth in our country.

Somebody like John Pilger is excellent precisely because he names names in the media. No vagueness about it; he just steams in and points the finger at individual broadcasters and reporters who've told a lie on behalf of their masters and hammers them for it...and none of them take him to task over it either, because they know they're banged to rights on the accusations.

The Metropolitan police has now reportedly asked to discuss the claims with Driscoll, who told BBC Newsnight that he had a list of suspects he wanted to look at, including local and national politicians, adding: "Some of the names were people that were working locally. Some people that were if you like, working nationally, there was quite a mix really because it appeared that it was connected to other boroughs and other movement around the country."

He claimed that he was removed from his post after sharing his suspicions at a meeting with other officers.

"I certainly in a case conference disclosed suspects' names, 100%, but I was informed that was inappropriate and I would be removed from my post," he said.

"Whenever people spoke to you and shared their fears and their story about what they had seen, it was almost on the proviso that they wouldn't make a statement and that they would be scared if you released who those people were that were talking for fear of reprisals to both their selves and their families."

Part of the establishment covering up for the establishment.

It is to be very welcomed that arrests are made and children removed from abuse.

The top few % own the world, these arrests should be happening. But we all know the chosen few will get away with it all like they always do.

Icke has more credibility than the majority of the media and outed a number of 'goings on' regarding the powerful, including links to 'our' royal family, many moons ago.

It is fortunate for them that they had already condemned him as a fruitcake so the majority take the information as 'conspiracy', seems a lot of it has come to pass since though.

BTW, ignore the lizard stuff about Icke and a lot of his research stands up to scrutiny
