He's lucky Sterling isn't playing here, as he'd be made to look daft.

The horrific injury he got was so 'Everton that'. He was really starting to play well and establish himself in the team and then he goes and suffers that, poor lad. Haven't seen him play at all since he left but by the sounds of it he has never really recovered fully from the injury. Hope he does well in the WC, seemed like a sound lad and was so unfortunate to miss out on 2014.

Feel bad for the guy, never recovered despite working his arse off. Glad he at least (finally) got to rep Los Ticos in the World Cup.

Really sucked that he couldn't be part of that team in Brazil. Winning the group that had Italy, England, and Uruguay. Advancing to the QF's. Who knows...maybe he could have gotten them past the Netherlands in the QF's.
