Over inflated English players

So Liverpool pay £25m for Adam Lallana, and then expect to be able to sign Alexis Sanchez for the same fee. Alexis is younger than Lallana, more experienced at international and European level, and was one of the stars of this world cup.

Absolutely mental.
Saints must be pissing themselves that they got 55 million for him and Shaw. Good players but.....55 million?

Clubs have quotas to meet, there's a premium on those with some quality. I don't really understand the stupid prices though. If Luke Shaw's name was Lukio Shawio from Spain, there's no way he'd cost 27 mil.

Who's inflating English players in the first place is what I want to know?

Not so much who but what -- the fact PL teams have to have a certain number of "home-grown" players on their squad. That puts a premium on decent players who fall into that category and automatically inflates their price.

They are more expensive because of the home grown rule and also they have experience in this league and have proven they can adapt to this league.
