This is the best answer, although Bungle’s homoerotic aggression is nice as well. But Ovie won’t catch the Great One. Skill continues to increase with age but the speed leaves the legs like a juicy fart, you know it’s gonig just not when and how. He could easily finish top 5 and we’ll done to him if so.

Agreed that age will at some point hit him hard, though its interesting to note that Ovechkin has so far been incredibly consistent in that his stats are similar when comparing his first 550 to his second 540ish games (splitting his career in half if you will). Top athletes these days seem to have found that extra push and are finding ways to stay at the top of their game for longer. It'll be interesting to see going forward.

I think he will overtake Howe in 2nd but will come up short of Gretzky.
