This is from a GP. You know the people that are meant to be agreeing to this top down reorganisation of the NHS. (privatisation in all but name). Obviously we are going for the Us model of healthcare whereby you have to sell everything you own if you get cancer.

I wasn't old enough to vote then, myself, but Jesus Christ on a pogo stick, what did people think would happen?

IT IS GOING. They are introducing privatisation and a market via the back door. This isn't a slight change. Watch the whole of the video.

When you see your GP he'll be deciding whether you need that brain scan on the basis of;

1. his remaining budget
2. how much he makes on kickbacks and perks from the private company that is doing said brain scan
3. how much he makes if he just prescribes pain killers

4. and finally he may think about your actual health and how that is benefited.

The NHS and this may sound hyperbolic, was one of the things that was given to us as a reward after the British sacrificed so many lives in WW2. It is our right.

Before anyone says they are only trying to make it like France or Germany, where the market is already involved. This isn't true. They will make it increasingly like the american model. Which is very handy for those who invest in health companies and pretty sinister for everyone else.

The people wanted change. Simple as. Still, the age old saying 'itdoesnt matter who you vote for, the government get in' still applies

They did, nobody can dispute this. But its extremely doubtful they would've been voted in if the plans for NHS privatisation weren't omitted from both parties manifesto. If they hadn't lied about no top down reorganisation of the NHS.

Oh I know mate, but they've made themselves even more irrelevant than usual. Now there's one less party to object to crap like this, and instead, they're just as you say "along for the ride". I'd be embarrassed to be a lib dem, but the real clout in the government is obviously tory-centric.

Nice 1 Sid,thanks for that mate,i work in the nhs,there trying to run it like a buisiness when its not its a service and the amount of people who abuse the service need reviewing with a 3 strikes and your out rule or a massive fine!
