We ran aground a few times and but for Davek to sustain us we would have foundered!
What was however the most important goal we scored and why?

Lukakus goal vs Kiev away would have been our most important, but we conceded 4 more after that..

Lennon's performances since Newcastle at home has been the most important thing this season took us away from a relegation scrap

Could only be topped by a winner against Liverpool.

I think that stopped the rot a bit and provided us with evidence/hope that we really couldn't have slipped that far from last season as a team.

If there is such a thing as one goal being pivotal,I'd agree it put an end to the dire run of form we were in at the time

Lukaku away to Palace. A very much needed 3 points

I'd have to go with Aaron Lennon's winner at QPR. That win gave us some much needed confidence after being leathered in europe to Kiev. It put us on our current run and was probably the moment when we all realized that we were finally safe from the drop.

Lukaku vs West Ham at home in the FA Cup in January? Before then we'd lost four in a row and since then we've only lost 4 games out of 19. Not like we suddenly became great but it was pretty grim before that goal went in.

mirallas away at wolfsberg. we haven't scored an important goal in the league all season. jags' was possibly the most vital - but it's made no difference to the season.
