Unfortunately I was not able to see all the game against Brom, just had to make do with the MOTD highlights.

It struck me that Yobo seemed to be quite lost at times. Leaving Jags having to cover for him quite a bit. Okay we won but Brom could with better finishning have denied us any points. Out recent success for me has been to have a consistent back four and in particular the two CBs. There is no doubt in my mind that Lescott and Jags is a much better pairing than Yobo and Jags.

They are all very good defenders, I think any combination would do a good job. From where I was sitting Yobo did have a few Yobo moments but he hasn't played much football over the last few months, It's expected. I think playing as a left centre back didn't help, he never usually plays that role. He's always the right sided centre back.

Jagielka and Lescott is our best combination though in my opinion, Lescott has come into his own and Jagielka is just Jagielka.

Jags was certainly getting the from hansen and lawro on MOTD.

Though Jags has been getting alot of the credit, I have to say Lescott has been top draw alongside him. Don't underestimate the left-right footed partnership at the back. I always found it awkward playing left centre back as a right footer.

Yobo is a quality defender, he does make a few clangers but on the whole very solid. Having been out the team for a while I think he played well against Newcastle and WBA.

Yobo hasn't looked very solid since his return so I imagine Jags and Lescott to be in the middle barring injury.
