Possibly to have someone hungry to win the league again incase other players in his position become complacent.

Credit where credit is due with regards to how they play and their overall success but like you mention you can't ignore their spending power.

For example, I can't compute how they're willing to spend £60m on Mahrez: a good player who can influence games, but will he start regularly?

Yet, it shows that they'll be able to offload the likes of the ageing Toure or some of their mediocre players, and raise their average standard.

Oh wow, I'd be truly gutted to be a Leicester fan. They've bought really well over the last few years I've thought, bigger names than us and yet all those players have flopped.

Slimani, musa, iheanacho all looked like top signings... But okazaki has remained a better striker than them all.
