Heard United have Khedira, Hummels and Clyne wrapped up already.

Khedira on a free.
Hummels for £37m
Clyne for £17m

If the Clyne one is true that's £17m for a player going into his last year on contract and Saints have done it again getting boss money for an average to fair player.

Exactly my first thought. You'd think about how much they spent on Shaw that they'd be slightly more cautious with their expenditure.

Not saying they were burnt with Shaw, but over £30m on a prospective left-back is a huge sum of money. May pay off... arguably may not.

Clyne isn't a bad defender or a poor prospect, however I think there's better options out there. Hopefully Seamus isn't one of them!

Boooo! You beat me with the the easy quip about Liverpool spending lots of dough on absolute average tosh. Doubt they'll beat Mario though.

I really hope we're not getting Khedira, he's 28, injury prone and average. I'd love to get Gundogan if he's fully recovered from that back problem.

Hummels, Depay and Clyne are strongly linked though.
