Although disappointed to see peanuts go, I think it has really provided us all with an opportunity to see ossie flourish. He has been fantastic and far more productive with goals and assists than nuts ever was. Strange how things work out... Also not seen pienaar on the pitch too much at spurs

Greener pastures...pah!!

He's a more complete footballer than Pienaar, he just seems to be way down in the pecking order when it comes to first names on the team sheet.

However, when he's playing in a more preferred position, he's just quality.

Pienaar isn't even in the Spurs squad today, let alone the bench.

Osman will always be an inconsistent player, but he's on fire lately; he's the Everton player i'd most like to have a pub lunch with too, the little Billinge-belter.

I'd argue that's because he never gets a consistent run in a preferred position. These last few months he's played almost every game in a role that suits him and lo and behold, he's been excellent.

just seen a reply on bbc sport saying osman for england.i would love to see him in an england shirt as i think he is under-rated but can`t see it somehow.just put my efc scarf in the window again ( we live in manchester ) but the wife says take it out so we don`t upset the neighbours.i said we are insured for breakages anyway.coyb

Same prob bud. A new scratch always appears on my motor when we do city. Mrs wants the "tell me ma" sticker out of the car now as we're trying to sell it.

Do we reckon he's always been this good on the sly, then? And Tim 'nothing but goals' Cahill has kept him from his preferred position during his peak years? It's a controversial one alright.

It hasn't been on the sly, he just never gets played in his position, put him centrally or in a system where he can move and he is so good with the ball at his feet he excels. Honestly, if both Arteta and Osman are on form I would struggle to pick between them in terms of ability.

I'd say Piennar did it more individually, than as team player, Osman's defensive work goes unnoticed a lot, as well as being able to turn on a sixpence.

Spurs played Danny Rose, a youngster, at left back yesterday, with Bale left wing, and Pienaar behind Kranjcar, not even making the squad.

Pienaar made the single biggest mistake of his career joining Spurs - as predicted.

Nothing has changed my view on him, which I've had for a long, long time, even when he was an Everton player. He's a decent player, industrious and links up well, but vastly overrated, who was made to look good by the brilliance of Leighton Baines.

You could make the case that Ossie has been the best player in the prem over the last 2 months. Peanut was good for us but he's never been on a run like Ossie is having right now.

Got to say I'm surprised at how awesome he has been the last couple of months playing behind the striker. He's been untouchable and that header was sublime. On the wing he's pretty dire, but unreal behind the striker. Probably going through the best spell of his career keep it up and you'll be the first name on the teamsheet keeping Cahill out for sure.
