We all hated him at RM and I never knew what to make of him because he was very inconsistent. Now, I want him in every starting 11. A diminutive magician and a true blue. My tribute to Osman.

He's one of our better players, don't see many with feet as quick as his. Spent too long in the shadows of Arteta/Cahill so being played out of position which is a shame but the boy has always had a lot of quality.
 
Great player. And it's not like it's only been the past 20 odd games he's been so good for us in the middle, people have been noting how "surprisingly" good he's been for a couple seasons now at the least.

His attributes are not meant for the wing. He is not fast nor has breathtaking pace. His footwork is meant for tight spaces in the middle. I have rarely seen him run at a player with step-overs or something fancy. His an engine running the middle of the pitch.

I think you're just trying to post-rationalise hating him in the past.

Some of us have always rated him.
