He was pretty much in the way last season, a 7 month lay off wouldnt be the worst thing in the world IF we bought a wide man

I'd hope Moyes is looking for a wide right midfielder regardless of Osman being fit or not as the only reason he was playing there last season was due to the fact Moyes couldn't/wouldn't utilise the player he'd actually bought to do that job. Now VDM is off the wage bill, hopefully Moyes will get somebody in for whom that is their natural position.
