The smell of winter green in the 3rd round.

Abide with me.

Marvellous.

I don't really care that we are forgotten. It will make it all the sweeter

COYB NSNO

Totally agree with you. I am used to it and care less.

Unless we become a sugar daddy club the reality is that the global and national media will continue to regard us as a museum piece only worthy of comment if an RS crisis coincides with a derby game.

I don't give a shide.

Anyone here SkySportNews on Saturday "Everton 2-0 win puts them in the QTR final, for the first time in 9 years".................

Anyone who remembers how we were treated by the media in 1995 during our Cup run will probably smile about this.

We played Keegan's Newcastle in the quarter final at Goodison, back when Newcastle were a bonafide top 3 title-challenging neutrals-favourite team. The likes of Jimmy Hill, Hansen and even Lineker (he was a pundit back then) tipped Newcastle to win. We won 1-0. Ditto the semi final vs Spurs, where everyone thought it was nailed on to be the 'dream final' Spurs vs Utd. We won 4-1 destroying Spurs. Then the league runners up Utd in the final, again all pundits tipped Utd. We shocked them again.

Being overlooked/underestimated just makes it sweeter.
