Seeing as, like most people at present, I'm planning to be doing absolutely nothing for the next 2-3 months, I thought it would be an excellent idea to be productive during that time, learn something to expel boredom, improve future career prospects and earning potential - all that jazz. There are literally thousands of completely free courses that can take as little as 9 hours to complete on the Open University

I don't think i've got the patience or commitment to learn another language beyond an introductory level so I'm looking at other potential courses that can be picked up fairly quickly from home, perhaps a beginners guide to web design / development or coding.

Has anyone else looked into distance learning before? Or perhaps, are you considering picking something up now with the expected free time over the next few months?

You may not be able to learn the four core skills of a new language in that time however someone of average intelligence could certainly be expected to learn to read in a new language.

I'm doing an Excel course on Udemy and I've got another online course going on paid for by my employer. Just bought an online bodyweight exercise course and also considering getting Fender Play cos I can't do my guitar lessons at the moment. I signed up too for an online journalism course last year and haven't done a thing with it yet. I'm gonna try and get started on that too. My job keeps getting in the way unfrotunately

Quite like the idea of some sort of engineering course, i have been after getting a lathe for ages now, awesome things they are, just need somewhere to put it!
