I never emphasised the results tbh.
Ill forever remember that night and tell my kids if I have them about it, just for the pure atmosphere and boss boss day. Just like my old man told me about Stoke away in the 80's when Kendall did that famous there's your team talk thingy about our fans.

The memories are from Everton playing boss for one, but for our fans being top top class and proving a point to all the divvies who call us **** fans.

FA cup 3rd round 1984. The previous games had been dire, getting booed off pitch awful 0-0 home versus Coventry highlighted on MOTD, people calling for everyone's head. But on pitch was a young team that played ace for 20 mins each half but let oppo off hook on regular basis. 18 months later champions and cup winners cup holders!!!! This is who we support. It is darkest before the dawn. COYB. It is a very different era I know but our day will come again.
