Apparently, although we've scored over 1,000 Premier League goals, we've been stuck throughout the summer on 999 goals by Everton players for the team (the rest being own goals). So the honour of (possibly, excluding any own goal) scoring the first goal under Roberto will also be that magical number.. there are obviously quite a few candidates for the task.
