The moment Bainsey hit that screamer last night(yes it was ultimately fruitless I know)all the naysayer journos belittling our club, the sneering shower across Stanley Park,SKY etc basically laughing at us for having the temerity to approach a Manager of Ancelloti's stature,I just thought that moment alone if you could bottle that time, it encapsulated our club and its ethos, an explosion of raw, non "manufactured" passion/love for a club as one from 37000 royal blue souls, what it means to us and the potential here if you can get it right, any true football person,Ancellotti or whoever would see the attraction of this grand old club of ours I am certain.:)

Lovely post. Really was a special moment after that goal went it.

Just seen that effort and I can only imagine what it would have been like within the stadium.
Just a pity I am so ambivalent about the one competition we will never win in my lifetime. (Just like the RS who wont win the World Club Championship)

Back to your question, for me in the recent past it was the Lukaku effort against Chelsea in the cup tie.
GP truly was lifted off the ground that night and on the occasion that Kenwright uttered "what a club" to Moshiri maybe that was what clinched his decision to become part of the club.

Followed up beautifully by baines then missing his penalty 5 minutes later. Pure Everton

I think both of those moments showed the usual flip side straight after.

Lukaku was utterly awful in the Semi final which cost us the trophy imo.

Baines scores a worldy and then misses the penalty.

For me I have to go back to 95.
Beat United in the final, after upsetting the media with a steller showing against Spurs. That 4-1 victory would have been in vain if we hadn't followed it up with a win at Wembley.

A very plausible response.
For those thinking anti-Everton media bias is only ten years old, it's been there a long, long while.

I think most recently Jags equaliser against the RS, they thought it was another victory but what a finish.
The man is always welcome at Goodison for me because of that.
