Would be good, but didnt man city give him a new contract in the past month which doubled his wages?

I'm not sure if i would want to part with £8 million for him.

Would prefer Cana, i know there not that similar though.

times say they've offered him £24,000 a week but he hasnt signed it yet

Doesn't interest me to be honest, decent talent but like every English player coming through overrated. He's yet to prove anything yet and seems to be a bit big headed.

If we got from Moutinho to him I'd be gutted.

I`d rather use Rodwell and Gosling before spending millions on Johnson. We have to bring in a strong defensive midfielder, and Johnson is not the answer. Forget about Moutinho (we have been linked with him since the Euro`s, and we don`t seem to be closer to signing him), buy/loan Fernandes(if he is still waiting for us, can`t blame him if he has lost patience though) and spend the time until the window closes on getting an experienced defensive midfielder. From what I have seen during the pre-season, Rodwell is more than capable of playing a few games at the start of the season until we have found a replacement for Carsley.

ok , can anyone tell me which managers let baines , jags , barton and johnson go ?

thats 25 million atleast , in talent there !!!!
Hard to know exactly who will make it as adults... you can get some indications, but late bloomers and those who like to play a different style of game stand a fairly large chance of getting cut and missed.

I know he was in our youth team and released, but is he a Blue does anyone know? It could make a difference if he is.

I think Johnson's a Leeds fan. To be honest I don't think we'll go in for him anyway as he'll sign a new contract. He's just trying to get an extra few grand a week out of City because of the new owner.
