A few people may have heard of this lad - Robbie Brookside. He's a wrestler from Liverpool originally, who started on ITV World of Sport in the 1980s as a young lad. He travelled the world, wrestling in Japan and in America for WCW and WWF in the 1990s. He's kind of semi-retired now, but has just landed a job as a WWE talent scout for aspiring wrestlers in Europe and frequently goes to Florida where the WWE NXT training school is based. He's long-time best mates with William Regal.

He's also a massive Evertonian and goes to games at Goodison whenever he can (he lives in Leicester at the moment). The club actually brought him out on to the pitch at half time about 6 years ago as a special guest.

Anyway just thought I'd post all that because a photo was just posted on one the WWE staff's facebooks with all the WWE NXT training staff, and there's Robbie in his Everton shirt, flying the flag, stood in front of William Regal and Norman Smiley:

Who did he wrestle as back in the day? And what's OJ Simpson (Naked Gun version) doing there???

Himself, under his own name.

Robbie was on WWE Raw back in April 2007, in a 1-on-3 handicap match vs Vince McMahon & Shane McMahon & Umaga. Then-Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho (5.47 mark on the video) is in the front row watching the match too, amazingly, and they point him out before the match:

Continued in video 2 below.

10 years before this, he was wrestling in the U.S., as a jobber for WCW. Here is on WCW Monday Nitro, February 1997, vs Dean Malenko. This was his debut on live U.S. tv:
