Lets cut to the chase.

We shaded first half, we were the better side just about, hunger some good passing, and some nice link up play and took a lead into half time we deserved.
Second half, we were not at the races, their lot came out and showed they wanted it more. Very disappointing attitude.

[Poor language removed] of the day goes to Sylvain Distin, who wins it by a nose from referee Howard Webb. I can forgive a mistake - and the Distin assist was definitely that - what I cant and wont forgive is the reaction - head in his hands and he gave up. What happened to playing to the whistle? working back to cover your other defender?
As for Webb, he gave 99% of decisions there way second half - perhaps to make up for a borderline offside first half from a deflection off Cahill to Jelavic which was played by their defender.

If they had someone half competent up front they would have piled 5 or 6 goals on second half, and that it was him that got a backwards header he knew nothing about for the winner just added insult to injury.

Well played Liverpool, especially second half - big game players that showed a level of desire and need for the ball (more often the second ball) than Everton could muster. Hope you get walloped in the Final because the amount of walking faeces in your side is an insult to football the world over.

Lets finish as high in the league as we can and look to improve again in the summer.

Let's be honest, there's nobody here that doesn't expect a fire sale in the summer now.

If Jelavic keeps throwing himself on the floor (like Drenthe does) then he can hand a transfer request in and move over the park and go and dive and moan for a living like that lot (especially the racist) did today.

I literally couldn't give a s*** about the Grand National. I've put a bet on but I'm not even going to check the result.

Were supposed to be a pedigree side, turning up in good form, trained and focused.

Went out and played (specific) second half like a bunch of nags looking to hide from the knackers yard.

Second half they were furlongs in front of us they showed the stamina for the game. It cant be just a Pienaar thing, and if Drenthe has been acting up and making a mockery of preparation - jettison him back to Real with a kindly f*** you!
